Where to park

Roads closed after 17:00

The police map’s own layer is titled “Road Closures after 17:00”, so the hours are theirs. Stretch names and end points are quoted as published.

One way on foot

These are not closed roads. They are open, and full — the crowd on them is made to move in one direction so a lane a few metres wide can carry lakhs of people. Walk with it and you will move. Try to come back up and you will not be let through. On the maps they are the blue lines, and the arrows along them point the way you walk.

Build my route already knows. A walking plan is ordered to go down these stretches rather than up them, so the way out is onward.

Junctions on the closure plan

These 23 junctions are marked on the same layer. The map does not say what happens at each one — whether it is a barricade, a no-entry or a turning point — so neither does this page. Expect to be directed when you reach one.

What this page does not have

The parking numbering skips 8, 18, 23 and 24. Those were not published, so they are not here — a list running 1 to 27 with four invented entries would be worse than a list with gaps.

No capacity, no charges, no whether-it-is-full, and no live confirmation that a closure is in force tonight. This is a plan captured on 13 September 2026, and police arrangements change on the day.
