Visarjan day
On Anant Chaturdashi the mandals leave their mandaps and 638 of them take the procession down Laxmi Road, Tilak Road, Kumthekar Road and Kelkar Road, converging at Alka Talkies Chowk. It runs through the night and into the next morning.
Where has the miravnuk reached? The Pune Police track it themselves, at diversion.punepolice.gov.in — the front and rear of the immersion procession, which roads are open or closed, and the designated parking places. We link it rather than copy it: a position we cached an hour ago would be worse than none. The police open tracking at 9 a.m., once Kasba has set off. What the map shows
- The miravnuk’s four roads, converging at Alka Talkies Chowk
- The ring road — the way round, and the only line here that means go
- Closed stretches, each labelled with its hour
- Procession checkpoints — the hour the miravnuk is due there. Tap one to see which mandals pass it
- The 12 places the police name for today — chosen to stay reachable from the ring
- Stops on another mandal’s route — hollow brass, no hour
- You, if you press “Where am I?” — asked for, never stored
- The mandals the police track, drawn as the same mandal mark in the tracker’s own status colours — bhagwa on the move, green completed, red yet to start. All 30 in bhagwa instead whenever their feed goes quiet
- Diversion points — where you are turned around
The roads are the Pune City Police’s own plan — their geometry, not our reconstruction of it. Where the two disagreed, theirs wins; they agreed to within 30 m on every road we had already drawn.
All 10 checkpoints are marked, each verified to sit on the corridor itself rather than merely to share a name — the test that rejected a “Vaibhav” 2.3 km away and put a “Tilak Chowk” in Nigdi. Every one lands within 40 m of the road, most within 7. The hours on them are Kasba’s, because it is the only mandal to publish an hour against each chowk; four of the ten are on Dagdusheth’s route as well and say so when tapped. 7 of the 17 closures are drawn. The rest name a junction we have no verified position for, and a guessed end point draws a confident line down the wrong road — so they stay in the list below, where the notice’s own words are exact. A road missing from the map is not an open road. Roads © OpenStreetMap contributors.
Timings for the day
Every time any mandal has published, in one list. These are intentions, not observations — the procession is known for running late, so take this as the order and rhythm of the day and the live tracker as the hour.
- 06:00Police ground deployment takes effect across all sectors
- 10:15The formal immersion procession commences from Belbaug Chowk, and the central route opens
The first three of the Manache Paach each give 09:30 at the Lokmanya Tilak statue, Mandai. They are not setting off in three directions: they gather there and move off in precedence order, Kasba first.
The miravnuk takes roughly six hours to reach Alka Talkies Chowk, where the murtis are immersed. Kasba’s own checkpoints for today put it at five and a quarter, which is the same day within the hour.
5 of the mandals on this site have published times for today. Two more — Tulshibaug and Kesariwada — carry last year’s hour, marked as such: it is a reasonable expectation and not a fact about this morning. Where a mandal has published for today, today wins; Tambdi Jogeshwari and Guruji Talim both announced 09:30 for 2026 against 09:45 and 10:00 last year, and the 2026 notice is what is shown. The others have not, and each moves when the one ahead of it moves, so there is no hour to print for them. Beware of the timings circulating for the Manache Paach that read like this list — 11:45 for Kasba, 10:00 for Tambdi Jogeshwari — as those are the aagman times from 14 September, not the procession. Grey markers are police; marigold are the mandal’s own, Kasba’s checkpoints coming from its trust’s published Laxmi Road schedule.
Shrimant Dagdusheth Halwai Ganpati: the route
Sets off at 16:00 from the Dagdusheth Halwai Ganpati temple (श्रीमंत दगडूशेठ हलवाई गणपती मंदिर). The mandal publishes the order of the route but no hour against each stop, so none is shown — what it gives you is whether the procession is still coming or already past.

Published by the mandal. Three of these chowks — Belbaug, Ganpati Chowk and Umbrya Ganpati — are on Kasba’s schedule too, which is the same corridor read from a different starting point. Belbaug and Ganpati Chowk are marked on the map above and say so when tapped. The rest of this whole route is now on the map. Belbaug, Ganpati Chowk and Umbrya Ganpati are there as Kasba’s checkpoints and say “Dagdusheth passes here too” when tapped; Nagarkar Talim, Lokmanya Tilak Chowk, the Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj bridge and the ghat at Panchaleshwar are marked in hollow brass. None of the peth chowks are in OpenStreetMap, Nominatim or Photon — they were read off the ground, and each was checked against the published order before it was drawn rather than taken on trust.
The Manache Paach, in order
Shri Kasba Ganpati, the city’s gramdaivat and the first of the Manache Paach, sets the day going — see the timeline above. The rest follow in order behind it, each when the one ahead has moved, which is why only two mandals in this catalogue have a departure time worth printing.

What closes, and when
17 stretches, in the order the notice closes them. They reopen as the procession clears them, not at a set hour.
05:00
- Laxmi Road — Sant Kabir Chowk to Alka Talkies Chowk
09:00
- Shivaji Road — Kakasaheb Gadgil statue to Jedhe Chowk
- Tilak Road — Jedhe Chowk to Tilak Chowk
- Bagade Road — Sonya Maruti Chowk to Phadke Haud Chowk
- Guru Nanak Road — Devjibaba Chowk to Hamzekhan Chowk
10:00
- Bajirao Road — Savarkar Chowk to Futka Buruj Chowk
- Kumthekar Road — Tilak Chowk to Chitale Corner Chowk
- Ganesh Road — Daruwala Bridge to Jijamata Chowk
- Kelkar Road — Budhwar Chowk to Alka Talkies Chowk
- Shastri Road — Senadatta Chowk to Alka Talkies Chowk
11:00
- Jangli Maharaj Road — Jhansi Rani Chowk to Khandoji Baba ChowkOn the ground: Reported locally as shut only from the Ghole Road junction, by Bal Gandharva — about two thirds of the stretch rather than all of it. That junction lies between the two points the notice names, so this narrows the order rather than contradicting it, and the map is dotted from there down to Khandoji Baba rather than along the whole road.
- Fergusson College Road — Khandoji Baba Chowk to the Fergusson College main gate
12:00
- Bhandarkar Road — PYC Gymkhana to Goodluck Chowk
- Pune–Satara Road — Volga Chowk to Jedhe Chowk
- Solapur Road — Seven Loves Chowk to Jedhe Chowk
- Prabhat Road — Deccan Post to Bhelare Mama Chowk
- Karve Road — Nal Stop to Khanduji Baba ChowkTwo reports list this stretch; the fullest one does not, though it names Nal Stop as a diversion point on Karve Road. Kept, because the police count of seventeen roads needs it.
Where you will be turned around
A different fact from a road being shut, and the more useful one if you are riding: these are the junctions the police named as diversion points, where the decision gets made for you as the procession reaches the road behind them.

4 of the 10 are on the map above — the ones the police’s own closure map already gives a position for. The rest are named here and not placed, for the same reason the undrawn closures are not: a junction guessed onto the wrong corner is worse than one you find yourself.
Going round, not through
Motorists are asked to keep out of the procession corridor altogether and go round it: Karve Road and Nal Stop, Law College Road, Senapati Bapat Road, Ganeshkhind Road, Shivajinagar and the university area, and Satara Road at Volga Chowk. Junctions along it are regulated as the closures come in, so treat it as a direction rather than a route.
It is drawn on the map above in green, as a 19 km loop through Nal Stop, Swargate, Golibar Maidan, RTO and Senapati Bapat Road — the one line up there that means go rather than do not.
Where the ring meets a closed road it is the closure that holds, not the ring. They touch at the junctions on purpose: Nal Stop is a point on this loop and the end of the Karve Road closure, which is exactly why the police name it a diversion point. The police regulate those junctions as the restrictions come in through the day, so treat the loop as a direction of travel rather than a guaranteed road.
Also in force
- No parking from 23:00 tonightOn Laxmi, Kelkar, Kumthekar, Tilak, Bajirao, Shivaji, Shastri, Jangli Maharaj, Karve and Fergusson College roads, and the 100 m between Khanduji Baba Chowk and Hotel Vaishali.
- No heavy vehicles for 48 hoursBarred from entering the city from 00:01 on 25 September until midnight on 26 September.
- Closures hold into the next dayThe roads reopen as the procession clears them, not at a set hour. The police change the plan on the day as the crowd moves.
Dhayari Phata, Keshav Nagar–Mundhwa and Sasane Nagar–Hadapsar have their own arrangements for the day, separate from the central plan on this page. No-parking orders also cover 10 roads alongside the procession corridor.
Where the police say to park today
12 places, from the police’s own visarjan map — a different and shorter list than the one the rest of the festival uses, because most of the usual places sit behind a road that shuts this morning. They are marked on the map above as blue P discs.
- Shivaji Akhada
- SSPMS Shivajinagar
- SP College
- Peshwe Park Sarasbaugh
- Harjeevan Hospital Sarasbaugh
- Patil Plaza
- Nilayam Talkies
- Abasahebh Garware
- Fergusson College
- Jain Hostel BMCC ROAD
- MMCOE
- New English School
Parking is the same list as every other day of the festival — the places the police published, though the roads reaching some of them close through the morning.
Queue times on this site stop meaning anything once a mandal has left its mandap, so the app stops showing them on visarjan afternoon rather than showing you a number it no longer believes. No mandal but Kasba publishes a departure time, and we have not invented the rest.
Closures, parking ban and the heavy-vehicle ban are from the Pune City Traffic Police notice for Anant Chaturdashi, signed by DCP (Traffic) Dr Sandeep Bhajibhakare, as reported on The Indian Express and Punekar News and Pune Pulse. Written up on 2026-09-24. Police arrangements change on the day — the tracker above is the one that is current.
